With the Home & School Club our kids now enjoy the
educational extras that create a well-balanced learning environment: field
trips, assemblies, art, music—even the library! Additionally we provide the
World Famous Castlemont extras: the Life Lab Garden, the Service Squad, and
Early California Days to name just a few.
This year we plan to:
Provide Educational Support by:
- Providing each teacher
funds to spend in their classroom
- Paying Librarian Salary, and providing books
and supplies for the library
- Building and maintaining the Life Lab Garden which
incorporates valuable hands-on curriculum in all subjects
- Completely subsidizing
2-3 field trips for each class
- Presenting educational and entertaining
assemblies
- Managing Accelerated Reader Program to encourage and build reading
skills
- Funding Fourth Grade California Days
- Purchasing materials for art &
music teachers
- Providing classroom support for student tutoring
Provide
information to parents by: - Producing the Castlemont Courier, the weekly school
newsletter
- Managing the Home & School Club Website
Manage Events and Appreciation Programs by:- Producing the Fall Family Festival
- Coordinating the Jog-a-Thon, providing T-shirts and lunch for all students
- Coordinating Castlemont Night at The Jungle
- Funding Student Council, Service
Squad and PeaceKeepers
- Planning and funding Staff Holiday Luncheon & Staff
Appreciation Luncheon
- Creating the annual Castlemont Yearbook
- Coordinating
School Portraits--Fall and Spring
- Running Holiday Canned Food Drive--benefiting
